Meet Our Assistants
Elizabeth has been with Big Sky Animal Medical Center since August 2018, as a veterinary assistant.
Upon graduation from the University of Providence in December 2020, she plans to attend veterinary school and become an equine surgeon specialized in sports medicine and rehabilitation.
Elizabeth enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with her horses, cats, chickens, and salamander.
Renae M, AVA
Renae has been an assistant at Big Sky Animal Medical Center since October 2018, and is currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program where she hopes to graduate and earn her license.
Renae came to Montana from North Carolina, and shares her home with her husband, a Husky, a German Shepherd, and a kitten.
In her free time, Renae enjoys crocheting, drawing, playing video games, and cake decorating! She also loves cats (even though she is allergic), Star Wars, and trying new foods.
Sable has lived in Montana all her life, and came to Big Sky Animal Medical Center in August 2018 with interest in expanding her small animal knowledge base after working several years with horses and cattle on the Highline.
Outside of work, Sable spends her time hunting fishing, horseback riding, team roping, barrel racing, and hiking. She also returns home often to help her family manage their ranch and cattle.
Amanda has been an Assistant at Big Sky Animal Medical Center since August 2019, previously she took care of our furry friends in the kennels starting in June 2019.
In her free time, Amanda spends her time reading, playing Dungeons and Dragons, trying new foods, and camping.
Amanda's favorite patients are the kitties, and is particularly interested in reproductive care and medicine.
Kamala was born and raised in Great Falls, MT and has been in the veterinary field for 14 years. She came to Big Sky Animal Medical Center in November 2019 with an interest in expanding her small animal knowledge base. Kamala has a particular interest for the lab, and hopes to further her knowledge and experience in this area while at Big Sky.
Kamala shares her home with three Golden Retrievers and a teenage daughter, and spends her free time taking in the Montana sights with them whenever she can!
Nicole started as a receptionist at Big Sky in December 2012, and trained as an Assistant in August 2018.
Nicole particularly enjoys providing care and recovery support to our surgical and hospitalized patients, and shares her home with a Labrador mix and a Pittie.
Erin is a native Montanan and came to Big Sky Animal Medical Center in October 2019. Erin started at Big Sky as a Kennel Technician, but has recently moved into the treatment area and is training as a Veterinary Assistant.
Erin takes advantage of all Montana has to offer, and enjoys spending her time outdoors hiking, fishing, and camping with her Border Collie, Izzy.
Erin says her favorite part of her job is expanding her understanding of anatomy and physiology through surgery!
