Meet Our Technicians
Olivia has been with Big Sky Animal Medical Center since February 2018, and the Lead Technician since August 2019. Olivia has been in veterinary medicine since 2011, and attended San Juan College, where she earned her Veterinary Technician certification in 2018.
Olivia's interests include equine medicine, canine behavior and training, and pharmacology.
When not at Big Sky, Olivia spends her time with her Dutch Warmblood, Brady, or training service dogs for Canine Companions for Independence. She shares her home with two Dalmatians, two Labrador Retrievers, and her husband Will.
Katie grew up on the island of Kauai, HI. She graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a degree in Biology and has worked in the veterinary field since 2012. Katie has been with Big Sky since February 2018, where she started as a receptionist. Katie moved into the Lead Assistant position in December 2019. In addition to mentoring the Big Sky Assistants, Katie is also a technician, and works hard to provide our patients with compassionate care.
Her family's love for the outdoors brought them to Montana in 2017. She has a husband, 2 young daughters, 2 dogs and 3 cats! She loves to camp, paddle board, snowboard and pretty much all outdoor adventuring!
Kaylee graduated from National American University in 2007 with an AAS in Veterinary Technology.
Kaylee has been with Big Sky Animal Medical Center for 5 years and says the best part of her job is learning something new everyday.
With her free time she likes to hike, travel, camp, and spend time with her family.
Amanda and her family moved from Arizona to Montana in September 2018, and she joined the Big Sky technician team soon after. Amanda earned her Veterinary Technician certification nearly 10 years ago, and has a special interest in emergency and critical care.
Amanda has two teenagers, and enjoys spending her free time doing crafts, reading, enjoying the Montana outdoors, and spending time with her pets.
Courtney is a Florida native who fell in love with winter and the great outdoors, and moved to Montana in February 2018 and joined the Big Sky team! Courtney has been in veterinary medicine since 2005, and graduated from St. Petersburg College in 2012 where she earned her Veterinary Technician certification.
Courtney enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest for ophthalmology and client education.
Courtney spends her free time outside camping with her husband, Geoff, and her dog, Rory. She also loves to hike, kayak, bike, and explore!
Originally from Pennsylvania, her love for the outdoors brought Sarah to Montana over 8 years ago! Sarah came to Big Sky in 2015, and finished her AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2019.
With her free time, Sarah can be found outside hiking, camping, canoeing, skiing, fishing, or bird watching!
Ray joined the Big Sky team in October 2019 after spending several years in large animal medicine, and hopes to expand her experience in surgery and orthopedics.
Ray enjoys hunting, deep sea fishing, fly fishing, and hiking with her husband and son. Otherwise she can be found at the barn with her thoroughbred mare, Dyna, Appaloosa mare, Lady, and her Dutch Warmblood filly, Kara!
Ray plans to start medical school at Washington State University in the fall 2020 semester, and hopes to graduate as an orthopedic veterinary surgeon!
Rebecca graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2004, and has been a technician at Big Sky Animal Medical Center since 2009. Rebecca has a special interest for surgical nursing and emergency and critical care, and works as the overnight emergency care technician.
With her time off work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, hiking, camping, and traveling.
Shellina started her career in veterinary medicine when she left Montana and moved to Texas - after nearly 7 years away, she returned to Montana and joined the Big Sky team in November 2019 to expand her surgical and emergency care experience. With nearly 10 years experience, Shellina says she has a special interest for equine medicine and emergency and critical care.
When she isn't at Big Sky, Shellina enjoys riding horses or spending time outdoors with her two dogs Pandora and Zodiac.
